Ummmm, yeah.

It seems that I totally forgot about doing this blog, I'm sorry about that.

I believe I originally submitted a proposal for a video project, saying that it would be a cop-out to do something else. I changed my mind not long after, and decided it would be a cop-out to stick to video as it was too obvious for a film class. I was thinking about the mediums I am familiar with, and besides video several computer related things came to mind.

I visit a lot of places and do a lot of things on the internet, but the facet that consistently attracts much of my attention and time is a forum on the web site, GameFAQ's.

At first glance it might seem like a silly thing, a message board on a video game website, but over it's history the site has transcended its genre to become a popular and marginally secular (in the gaming sense) place. Over a few years posting there myself I've fallen in with a specific board on the site called "Current Events".

My plan as I've been developing it is to spend about an hour taking screen-shots as I post, hopefully tracing some sort of path that might not be evident otherwise. This way I might be able to see the broader workings of a sizable community as they coexist. "Current Events", contrary to the title, is not a place to discuss topical news stories. It consists of random topics, moving pretty quickly, that range from serious debates to nonsensical streams of randomness.
